Commercial Alarm Monitoring

Prerequisites

Customer must have or obtain a compatible Internet Protocol (IP) Communicator.

(Rent one from us for $10.00 + GST per month installed, subject to availability).

Additional cellular data charges of $1 per MB may apply if more than 5 MB is used.

Provision of and payment for response by a security patrol remains the responsibility of the customer.

Low-cost Plans:

Commercial alarm monitoring with Event Fee and Services Discount

$25.00 + GST per month minimum, capped at $65.00 + GST per month.

No additional partition / area fees.

Commercial alarm monitoring with Event Fee but without Services Discount

$30.00 + GST per month minimum, capped at $70.00 + GST per month.

No additional partition / area fees.

From $40.00 + GST per month fixed rate for the primary partition / area.

Explainer

What is the Event Fee?

It is common that a relatively small percentage of monitoring customers account for the majority of alarm events received by monitoring. When all customers are paying the same price, these high use customers are in effect being subsidised by the customers who rarely have alarm events. I believe that is unfair.

Accordingly, I offer low-cost monitoring plans where an extra $10.00 + GST fee is charged for each alarm event that monitoring receives from a customer alarm. Low user customers pay a lower fee, higher user customers pay more.

The total monthly monitoring fee is capped to prevent charges getting out of hand.

What is the Services Discount?

We currently provide a $5.00 per month discount for the following:

Members of the emergency services, Defence and Cadet Forces.

Licenced or certified security officers.

Members of the RNZRSA.

Holders of a Super Gold Card.
