Temporary Alarms
Our temporary burglar alarm systems can be installed by the client or their contracted security patrol in minutes, without the need to pay for an alarm technician to attend to do so. Our systems use batteries for power and cellular networks to communicate to the alarm monitoring station allowing them to operate where there is no AC mains power and / or fibre connection available. This means our alarm systems can be deployed where burglars do not expect them to be.
Construction Sites:
Our first use of monitored portable alarms was to detect intrusion into construction sites. Burglars target construction sites because they contain many thousands
of dollars worth of tools, materials and appliances and do not generally have
burglar alarms installed. They are easy pickings.
Having a monitored burglar alarm installed allows you or your security patrol to be alerted and take action when an intrusion is occurring not potentially hours later when the break-in is discovered.
Buildings left empty for any significant period may be targeted by burglars to remove appliances, hot water cylinders and electrical cabling.
Often the costs of the damage caused removing these items is substantially more than the value of the property stolen.
Worse, the knowledge that an empty building is not alarmed appears to circulate among local criminals resulting in buildings being repeatedly targeted and suffering significant destruction.
Installing one of our temporary alarms may provide protection against such burglaries while removing the need to continue paying for AC mains supply and a fibre connection, that a conventional alarm system requires.
In cases where the cost of extending power and / or a fibre connection to a remote building is prohibitive, installing one of our portable alarm may provide necessary protection without significant capital outlay.
Are they effective?
Patrol deployed a temporary alarm to a large residential construction site after finding one garage was full of newly delivered white ware for a dozen houses. Several hours later the alarm activated. Patrol attended the activation and found the garage broken into but nothing taken.
A cool store under construction suffering repeated theft and vandalism until one of our temporary alarms was installed.
Repeated attacks against a large home by burglars, vandals and vagrants ceased once one of our alarms was installed.
Alarm rental , including cellular and monitoring connection, from $125* per month.
Alarm event processing is billed at $5* per event processed.
A $300* deposit and first month payment in advance is required from new customers.
Provision of and payment for response by a security patrol where required, remains the responsibility of the customer.
